Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

MelMedic does not sell personal information for money, and we never have. We do use the Meta Pixel on our marketing pages to measure how our advertising performs. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, using an advertising pixel can count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising even though no money changes hands. This page is how you turn that off.

This applies to the marketing website only. We have not installed the Meta Pixel or any other advertising tracking technology inside our patient portal, our booking flow, or our clinical intake environment, so none of your health information is involved.

Option 1: turn on Global Privacy Control

Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a signal your browser sends automatically on every site you visit. We honor it. Browsers including Firefox, Brave, and DuckDuckGo support it directly, and there are extensions for Chrome, Edge, and Safari. Details are at globalprivacycontrol.org. This is the option we recommend, because it covers this site and every other site at once, and it requires nothing further from you here.

Option 2: ask us directly

Email [email protected] with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share" and we will apply the opt-out to your record. Tell us the email address you use with us so we can match it. You can also call (877) 942-8808 or write to P.O. Box 512, Bonner Springs, KS 66012.

We will confirm within 15 business days. We do not require an account, and we will not charge you or give you a lesser service for opting out.

Option 3: opt out at Meta

You can also control advertising personalization in your own Meta account settings, which affects how Meta uses information across every advertiser, not only us.

An authorized agent may act for you

You may use an authorized agent to submit this request. We will ask for written proof that you gave them permission, and we may ask you to confirm it directly.

What this does not change

Opting out does not delete information we already hold, does not unsubscribe you from our emails (every marketing email has its own unsubscribe link), and has no effect on your medical records, which are governed by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.
